Yeah… sorry, that sounds like racism to me.

It’s interesting that I’ve been receiving a relatively large volume of responses on this post from people who seem to be denying that we live in a racist society. It’s particularly disturbing to me that these responses have all contained a very thinly veiled hatred of black people.

I’m probably not going to engage with this thread any more, because it seems pretty pointless. As I’ve said before, if you disagree with me on a principle so fundamental to my understanding of the world as the existence of white supremacy and racism in our society, you’re not going to get much out of reading my blog. So please don’t bother trying to leave any more comments here.

BTW, after reading your blog I can tell you took the truth of what really happened as “another way for the government to cover up racism”. Deal with the truth that what they said REALLY DID HAPPEN. You wouldn’t believe how much the racism card (when proven false or idiotic) has cost the American people. Last year a case with a black fireman known as “the dog” was fed dog food as a joke because of a volleyball game from a day prior where the fireman taunted “feed the dog, feed the dog!” As a joke they put dog food in his spaghetti. Initally the fireman took it as a joke, but months later filed a lawsuit against the chief, the one who fed the dogfood and the fire department as a whole. To avoid a court trial, the city settled and payed the man 2.3 million dollars. Not only that, nearly the entire firehouse was fired because of the incident. Now you tell me, was that a true incidence of racism or was it someone taking advantage of the fact that they’re black and it so happens that people there are all white. No one will ever take racism cases seriously anymore because so many of them have been shown to be corrupted where the “minority” uses it as an excuse to sue others unjustifully.

It’s a sad day in society when parents refuse to acknowledge their child’s bad behavior and in fact promote it. What a disgusting thing.

You just automatically assumed the girl was in the right (because she is Black) and the guard was in the wrong (because he is white).

The fact that all the so-called leaders of the Black community immediately sided with this teenage girl and called for a protest is totally sending the wrong message, once again, to young black teens. Be disrespectful, mouth off, do whatever you want, the adults in your community will back you. Sure, do some more crack and drive by shootings, it’s not your fault.

Maybe this girl was just a snot nosed little brat. She in all probability got what she deserved and what any other student white, brown or black would have gotten too. This is not a racial issue. This is an attitude issue &Ms. P failed the test. Answer me this: do you seriously think you have adequately reviewed all sides of this story and come up with the accurate conclusion in your story above? Maybe you do not care about fair and responsible reporting? Maybe you are just a racist and have more in common with those you hate than you’d like to admit.
